Metals and Their Biblical Meanings

Truly, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Tim. 3:16) and we are to "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Tim. 2:15). Biblical metals are a fundamental building block in the full realization of God's Word. God did not use metals whimsically; He is a God of Perfect Order. Understanding biblical metals will help our studies, and our personal walks with God as we come to understand what God is fully trying to tell us within His Word.

Of course the Bible is full of examples, but I will give you just a couple:

    From Prov. 25:4, we read:
"Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer."
Meaning that we are to scrape away the Cheap, Flimsy Imitation of our life to bring forth the Pure, Clean Understanding of God's Word.
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Rom. 12:2)

Now, go "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Tim. 2:15)
